About
Tab Hauser retired from the business world after 32 years and 18 years as a volunteer village council official to pursue photography and journalism.
His photos and stories have been published in newspapers, Long Island magazines, boating magazines, and travel publications.
While living on Long Island, regional newspapers and magazines regularly called upon him to cover newsworthy events. His photos and stories captured the front page of over 100 Port Washington and City of Glen Cove newspapers. He wrote photographed and wrote over 100 stories for Long Island Boating World and had many front-page and photo spreads in the Long Island Press.
For eleven years, he was a Senior Travel Writer for a leading online travel publication that ceased publishing in 2024. His travels have taken him to seven continents and over 100 countries or unique locations. His writing style immerses readers in the travel experience, often detailing local food, wine, beer, and spirits.
Tab Hauser relocated to Boulder, Colorado, in 2024 and looks forward to collaborating with the regional media there.
When not on assignment, he works as a professional photographer, capturing people, life events, parties, (weddings only on recommendations), charity, and business functions with a passion and friendly sense of humor that brings a smile to anyone's face. He also works with businesses, real estate agents, restaurants, and resorts. On Long Island, he photographed "A" listed galas and other charity events. He was the “on call” photographer for the Nassau County Art Museum , Old Westbury Gardens and the City of Glen Cove.
Tab is a member of the prestigious New York Press Association and a friend of the Explorer’s Club.
